The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted the launch ceremony of The Third Dimension Policy Prism, authored by Ambassador G. R. Baluch. The event was attended by diplomats, academics, scholars, students, and media representatives.
The panel of discussants included General Khalid Naeem Lodhi, Ambassador Masood Khalid, Dr. Munawar Hussain, Dr. Shazia Khalid Cheema, and columnist Farukh Pitafi, who described the book as a timely and thought-provoking contribution to contemporary strategic and foreign policy discourse.
In his remarks, Ambassador G. R. Baluch said the modern world is witnessing a “battle of narratives,” where ideas and discourse increasingly shape global influence and policymaking. He noted that the book presents foreign policy through political, economic, technological, and ethical dimensions.
The speakers praised the book for addressing key regional and global issues, including South Asia, the Middle East, Gaza, great power politics, multilateralism, and the growing impact of technology and artificial intelligence on international relations. They also highlighted the book’s emphasis on ethics, humanity, and value-based approaches in diplomacy.
The event concluded with the formal unveiling of the book and the presentation of souvenirs to the distinguished speakers.
