The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad and Digital Debate jointly hosted a seminar titled “Marka-e-Haq: Victory in the Battlefield and Beyond” in Islamabad, focusing on Pakistan’s military, diplomatic, and media response during the May 2025 conflict.
Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar attended the event as Chief Guest, while former Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani participated as Guest of Honour. Other speakers included Khalid Mahmood, Tahir Hussain Andrabi, Farooq Habib, Nasim Zehra, Khurram Abbas, and Ahmad Hassan Al-Arbi.
In his remarks, Khalid Mahmood said Pakistan demonstrated strategic maturity by combining battlefield success with diplomatic outreach, political unity, and effective information management. He stressed the importance of transforming these gains into long-term institutional and economic strength.
Attaullah Tarar accused India of relying on unsubstantiated allegations and misinformation following the May 2025 events. He said Pakistan effectively projected its stance through timely diplomatic engagement, international media outreach, and calls for a transparent joint investigation. He also praised the armed forces, indigenous technological capabilities, and the role of youth in the information domain.
Jalil Abbas Jilani stated that India’s aggressive posture toward Pakistan had intensified under Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014. He said India’s narrative failed to gain broader international support and criticized the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, terming it irresponsible and destabilizing.
The speakers also highlighted the evolving nature of warfare, the importance of strategic communication, and the growing influence of digital media, AI, and citizen journalism in countering disinformation and shaping global narratives.
The seminar concluded with a group photo.
