ISLAMABAD: Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid chaired an important meeting with Karandaaz Chief Digital Officer Sharjeel Murtaza to accelerate the launch of a new digital payment system via RAAST in seven districts. The initiative aims to improve secure and efficient cash disbursements for over 10 million BISP beneficiaries.
Senator Rubina Khalid stressed the importance of biometric verification and timely service delivery, while Mr. Sharjeel Murtaza assured full support from Karandaaz for the project’s success. The meeting also discussed the possibility of piloting mobile wallet payments in selected areas.
Senior officials from both organizations attended the meeting and shared insights on the operational plan.
