DIG Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq visited the Safe City Control Room.DIG Security Islamabad reviewed the security and performance of the cameras. He issued orders for timely maintenance of the cameras and keeping all technical systems functional at all times. According to details, Deputy Inspector General of Police Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq visited the Safe City Control Room and reviewed the performance, efficiency and surveillance system of the cameras installed in the High Security Zone and Diplomatic Enclave. On this occasion, the concerned officers gave a detailed briefing to the DIG Security Islamabad regarding the monitoring, coverage, performance and security of the cameras. The DIG Security Islamabad directed that timely maintenance of the cameras and all technical systems should be kept active at all times so that any suspicious activity or unpleasant situation can be identified in time and immediate action can be taken. He further directed that security surveillance around the Diplomatic Enclave, High Security Zone and sensitive government institutions should be made more effective and the security situation of important places should be constantly monitored. The DIG Security Islamabad said that the security of sensitive places should be further strengthened by effectively utilizing modern technology and the monitoring system of Safe City. Any malfunction in cameras or other technical systems should be rectified immediately and the security system should be kept alert and active at all times. He added that Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to protect citizens, diplomatic missions and important government installations, while security is being made more effective and coordinated through Safe City’s modern surveillance system.
