PNCA Observes Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir with Dignified Ceremony and Solidarity Walk Islamabad, August 5, 2026: The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan, organized a dignified ceremony and a special solidarity walk to commemorate Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir. The event was held to express unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for their internationally recognized right to self-determination.The ceremony brought together government officials, artists, students, civil society representatives, and a large number of citizens who paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. Participants carried the national flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, along with banners conveying messages of peace, justice, and solidarity.As part of the commemorative activities, PNCA arranged a special Art and Photo Exhibition portraying the history, culture, and ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people. Informative documentaries highlighting the humanitarian situation in IIOJK were screened on the LED displays in the main lobby, while an impactful puppet show in the auditorium conveyed the message of hope, freedom, and resilience through creative expression. Banners and display boards installed across the PNCA premises effectively highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri people and drew attention to reported human rights violations in the region.Addressing the gathering, distinguished speakers reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued moral, political, and diplomatic support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. They paid tribute to the courage and unwavering determination of the Kashmiri people and emphasized the importance of resolving the longstanding dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and relevant United Nations resolutions.The ceremony concluded with a solidarity walk, where participants reiterated their commitment to standing with the people of Kashmir and expressed hope for lasting peace, justice, and freedom in the region.
