The party expressed serious reservations over reports that permanent membership of the board requires a financial contribution of $1 billion, describing the initiative as a \u201cpay-to-play\u201d model of conflict resolution. PTI argued that peace cannot be reduced to financial influence and cautioned that the forum may undermine the authority of the United Nations, particularly on issues such as Gaza and the broader Palestinian cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Calling for transparency, PTI urged the government to disclose the terms of Pakistan\u2019s participation, including any financial obligations and political commitments.
