Scenes from a special grand ceremony to mark Marka-i-Haq and Independence Day in Islamabad on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State-run&nbsp;<em>Radio Pakistan<\/em>&nbsp;reported that PM Shehbaz will unveil the Marka-i-Haq Monument during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1922864\">said<\/a>&nbsp;last month that this year\u2019s Independence Day would be celebrated under the banner of \u201cMarka-i-Haq\u201d (Battle of Truth) to demonstrate the nation\u2019s resilience, progress, and pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pakistan Army had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1910566\">named<\/a>&nbsp;the period of conflict with India since the April 22&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1905917\/at-least-24-killed-in-occupied-kashmir-gunmen-attack-on-tourists-police-source\">Pahalgam attack<\/a>&nbsp;to the May 10 conclusion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos as \u201cMarka-i-Haq\u201d in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The military confrontation between India and Pakistan came as the former blamed Islamabad for the April 22 Pahalgam attack without evidence. On the night of May 6-7, New Delhi&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1909295\/deaths-and-destruction-in-bahawalpur-muridke-after-indian-strikes\">launched<\/a>&nbsp;a series of air strikes on Pakistan, resulting in civilian casualties. Both sides then exchanged missiles, which&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1910509\/india-and-pakistan-just-stepped-back-from-the-brink-of-war-heres-how-it-unfolded\">stretched<\/a>&nbsp;over the week.
