A grand ceremony was organized today at BISP Headquarters, Islamabad, under the auspices of the Benazir Income Support Program on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. On this occasion, tributes were paid to the glorious success of the historic \u201cMarka-e-Haq\u201d of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, and this moment was declared a source of pride for the entire nation. The ceremony was attended by Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid, Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad, Additional Secretary Dr. Asmat Nawaz, all Director Generals of BISP, development partners, representatives of partner banks, BISP officers, and staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid said, \u201cToday we are celebrating the historic battle of our brave armed forces against Indian aggression. Our army not only gave an effective response to the enemy but also made the entire nation proud.\u201d
Senator Rubina Khalid added that BISP is fighting the war against poverty. She said that, just as the Pakistani Armed Forces ensured the freedom and security of the nation, BISP is making beneficiaries financially independent by giving them the right to receive money through convenience accounts and digital banking.

She further said that BISP is making every effort to facilitate IBAN numbers and Full Mandate Accounts for beneficiaries, under which deserving women will be able to receive their relief funds directly from the banks of their choice.
