He added that Israel\u2019s strikes on Iran involved 200 fighter jets striking about 100 targets across Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran\u2019s elite Revolutionary Guards corps said its top commander, Hossein Salami, was&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.irna.ir\/news\/85860936\/IRGC-s-Chief-Commander-Maj-Gen-Hossein-Salami-assassinated\">killed<\/a>&nbsp;and state media reported the unit\u2019s headquarters in Tehran had been hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several children had been killed in a strike on a residential area in the capital, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are at a decisive moment in Israel\u2019s history,\u201d Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a recorded video message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMoments ago Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel\u2019s very survival.
